Warrior DETAILS
This is the fifth annual Warrior Way Exposure & Development weekend, hosted on the Merrimack College campus at J. Thom Lawler Arena. The weekend is open to all interested participants and will be led by coaches Dan Jewell, Ryan Durocher, David Woodford, and other coaches from the schools listed above.
Warrior Way is designed for hockey players seeking to elevate their game and gain valuable exposure in a competitive college environment. Led by the Merrimack coaching staff and countless other schools, the camp provides high-tempo on-ice sessions, skill development, and competitive games that allow players to showcase their abilities. Held on the Merrimack College campus, the program offers participants a true NCAA Division I setting, elite instruction, and feedback to help them continue their path to the next level.

Dan Jewell is finishing up his sixth season with the Merrimack College men's ice hockey coaching staff. Jewell carried an extensive coaching background with him to Lawler Rink, most recently serving as the Assistant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator / Goaltending Coach at RPI from 2017-19. Prior to that, Jewell enjoyed stints with the Bloomington Thunder of the USHL (2014-17), Hamilton College (2012-14) and SUNY Plattsburgh (2011-12).

Ryan joined the Merrimack College Coaching staff in 2025-26.
He has amassed extensive NCAA Division I experience at St. Lawrence University, Colorado College, and Robert Morris University. Including assistant coach with the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers and video coach positions with the AHL’s Binghamton Devils.

David Woodford returns to the Merrimack College Coaching staff for his first season as an assistant coach in the 2025-26 season.
This is David's second assistant coaching position, as he previously spent the last two seasons at Connecticut College. David was previously on the men's ice hockey staff from 2019 to 2023, serving as a Student Assistant Coach
A portion of the proceeds will go to support the patients of the Winchester Cancer Center at BIDMC to help relieve some of the financial toxicity accumulated as a direct result of their cancer diagnosis. Coach Dan Jewell’s wife Erin, is an oncology social worker who helps patients in their cancer journey.
